THE CARETAKER
The number 6 is the mother amongst all the other numbers and takes seriously its role as a carer and nurturer. 6s make wonderful parents as they are wholly focused on creating a peaceful, stable environment for those around them. The 6 is kind and loving and will sacrifice its own happiness to care for, protect and teach others. However it can be something of a martyr and feel aggrieved when its efforts go unrecognised. It is naturally harmonious and hence is the only number who can get along peacefully with all the others. The 6 is at the heart of any family or community and is the glue that holds all its members together. It is fundamentally sympathetic and will rush to the defence of any underdog. If the 6 witnesses an injustice it will sacrifice its time and energies to fighting it. Be warned, however, its natural instinct to protect can often lead it to pick the wrong cause and it will suffer as a result. The 6 will focus on the small details, rather than seeing the wider picture, and jump to the aid of those who are not worthy of its self-sacrifice. It can be too trusting and wear its heart on its sleeve, which leaves it at the mercy of less scrupulous individuals.
THE CARETAKER
The 6’s idealistic nature sometimes makes it vulnerable and it can often be treated as something of a doormat, to be used and abused at will. Due to there demeanour 6s will often shoulder the problems of others, to their own detriment, and they need to learn to be less influenced by the opinions of others. A 6 needs to trust its own instincts and follow its own path.
6s make excellent teachers, carers, medics or counsellors. They work well in an advisory role as people value their down-to-earth wisdom and feel comfortable opening up to them. A 6 is warm, kind, funny and sympathetic which is an appealing mix. However they can be jealous and narrow-minded at times and can feel a sense of despair at the cruel nature of the world around them. They can put people on pedestals and feel crushed when they don’t live up to expectations. They are deeply emotional and have the ability to feel things keenly. That means their desire to help and problem solve can sometimes manifest in smothering others or meddling unnecessarily. Ultimately though because the 6 is charitable at heart and will always be at the forefront of any humanitarian campaigns.
6s are sensitive and like to work at a slow, steady pace. First of all they need positive encouragement as they can lean towards depression if they feel rushed or unable to help a situation. They can be intolerant, self-righteous and smug at times and many religious zealots are 6s. The 6 needs to be needed and can turn nasty if its efforts go unrewarded. It is not given to anger but when it’s pushed it can be merciless. Essentially a 6’s end goal is to love and be loved.
